Aksana: League of Legends Tool:

League of Legends is a popular online MOBA game with numerous champions that players can customize using in-game skins purchasable with real currency. Aksana addressed the inconvenience in previewing account loot in marketplaces. It streamlined the process by allowing sellers to scan an account's loot quickly and share it with buyers via a link. The challenge lay in designing the architecture as the public game API didn't provide access to account loot. I devised a solution involving a web client, backend, and desktop transmitter to seamlessly transmit data from the user's game client to the web without compromising the user experience.

The process to add an account looks as follows:

Opens League Client -> Goes to the Aksana Web Client -> Clicks on the "Add an account" button that uses the desktop's deep link to open an electron app -> Aksana Transmitter opens -> The account loot gets packed -> The app makes a request to the backend to stores the account data -> Account is now added and can be sent to the buyer through a link ✅

Professional Projects:

Catalytic Database:

This web app targeted individuals involved in scrap yards, particularly those dealing with car catalytic converters. The app aimed to provide accurate pricing for converters based on the fluctuating prices of Platinum, Palladium, and Rhodium. Despite its success, the app faced heavy DDoS attacks post-release from competitors. I assumed responsibility for both front-end and back-end development post-release. Implementing rate-limiting and speed-limiting using express-rate-limit and express-slow-down significantly mitigated the impact of these attacks. Additionally, I integrated monitoring tools such as LogRocket for bug reporting and session recording. This proved invaluable in identifying malicious accounts and aiding in a legal dispute with a competitor who falsely accused us of data theft.
