Remote Software Engineer Intern - Tunis, Tunisia

This is a project that I've been working on with my team as a requirement for the school. Collo, the vision we had for the app is that it will be a one place for project/team management where we would enable teams to collaborate at maximum productivity, yes the market is fierce but we had our minds on the product from the start and one way to build on our vision is to shorten the time teams take to do the work and make it as convenient as possible by removing the unnecessary switch between different software and for that we identified our key features :

- Teams management

- Meetings

- Project management using Kanban/Scrum

- Text channels for faster communication

- One place that keeps track and monitors activity for team members to increase their productivity as they will see their own numbers as well as the manager can have the right analytics to make their operations more efficient.

I had an orchestration role where I have been involved in designing the UI, designing the software architecture and coming up with solutions that meet our business goals.

For the tech stack, I had to go with next.js for the server-side rendering feature along with an SOA architecture where we already started with the emailing service with Nodemailer and authentication using NextAuth and a core functionality service using Nest.js. I had also implemented real time video chat using Twilio SDK where I had learned a lot about websockets and webRTC.

In addition to my studies, I have been actively building hobby projects on my own in order to gain practical experience and improve my skills. These projects have allowed me to gain experience with JavaScript, React & Web Design and have helped me develop a strong foundation in software development.

I have a strong product engineering mindset, where I can translate business goals into user-friendly features, all while keeping the design and scalability of the codebase in mind.
