Description:
My career has taken me through a number of verticals across a wide array of projects:
- I was the sole engineer of a design system for Nuix, where I collaborated with both UX designers and engineers to deliver components that were write once, run anywhere.
- I consulted with IBM to help build out a React-driven UI for their Watson Discovery platform
- I contracted with UPMC Health Plan, a Pittsburgh-regional healthcare insurer, to build out features in their AngularJS/redux application
- I worked as the front-end custodian for the now-acquired Bellefield Systems, cleaving away swaths of extraneous markup and CSS from their flagship application, iTimeKeep
The work I've been most excited about lately is my contributions to the open source community. My recent work has included building out tools to help people who play tabletop role-playing games organize dense datasets in a way that is usable both in and out of games, as well as joyful and aesthetically pleasing.
With the advent of large language models entering the zeitgeist, I've also enjoyed learning prompt engineering and interacting with OpenAI's API.
