SelectQuote - Software Engineer III / Team Lead (Jan 2021 - Present)
- Frontend development with React, Typescript, NextJS, React Query, some full-stack work with Node and SQL.
Responsibilities:
- Leading the team through building and testing new features, maintenance, and support for our application.
- Mentoring junior developers on and outside of the team.
- Working closely with UX and agent managers to provide the best user experience for agents (our users), and implementing features based on agents’ feedback.
- Identifying and alleviating pain points during the development and testing process.
Achievements:
- Led the team to launch our key new internal application in time for busy season.
- Designed and transitioned the team onto a feature branch system to promote continuous delivery, improve debugging, and eliminate cherry-picking for releases.
